Neil Craig Roloff is the biological son of Elmer Eugene Roloff and Elvina Roloff nee Kanenwisher (Kannenwisher), later known as Alvina M. Roloff and Alvina Mae Roloff. Neil Craig Roloff was born about a year after his biological brother Gene Elmer Roloff. Neil was born in 1947 and died in March of 1948. He was about nine months old. He appeared to have died of suffocation and/or choking. He was found face down on a wet mattress cover in his crib by his mother in the morning in the room next to the room where the parents slept. Apparently the parents slept with the doors of both rooms closed so as not be awakened from their sleep in the night. Neil and Gene slept in the same room in separate cribs. Gene was a few weeks short of two years old when Neil died.
