Re: The Matter of the Estate of ALVINA M. ROLOFF, Deceased. NO. 01 4 00145 1 and hearing November 16, 2001; Your File No. 010227
Dear Ms. Kurtz,
Thank you for your letter dated May 14, 2002.
We disagree with your interpretation of the scope of time and scope of documents that were intended to be granted to us. We have provided our rationale and documentation previously directly to Marie Cheatham, hoping that she would cooperate and that it would not be necessary to involve you further. Marie Cheatham has not responded after more than three months.
We emphasize that copies of documents can very easily be forged and modified using today's PC image editing software along with a document scanner and medium cost printer. Therefore, we request the original diaries of my mother, not copies. We also request original documents for selected cancelled checks. Details will be found in the enclosed documents.
We have attempted to minimize your time and effort in our requests for documents by asking you to request the source to deliver documents directly to us at our cost.
The documents that we sent to Marie Cheatham and that she received on January 29, 2002 are hereby directed to you as her attorney at the time in question. We have enclosed a copy of those documents and itemized them below.
Rather than itemize the many, many documents missing from the bank and credit union accounts that you sent to us earlier, we simply request direct access to the financial institutions.
We have five heirs waiting for the documents that we are requesting.
Note that we are no longer requesting medical records from you.
Note that the Exhibits related to Exhibit "A" are not enclosed with this letter because you received them earlier before the Hearing on November 16, 2001.
Thank you for your courtesies and consideration.
Sincerely,
Enclosures:
